Mounting face side:
The MEDAN-centering chuck gives the designer the possibilty to fix the ELZ fitting into the operation area. The acceleration and deceleration of the high dynamic movements can because of this special construction be transferred to the operation area.
With the offered range of accessories the ELZ can be mounted without problems into consisting constructions and easily take over its dynamical task.


Additional guide:
An additional guide in a UNO or DUO carriage system can be attached to each ELZ. This gives the customer an additional range of application.

Accessories II

Mounting for switches:
Normally proximity switches are used to determine a reference /
datum point for the ELZ.
Mounting brackets are available for these switches. The brackets can be inserted into the grooves on the sides of the tube profile, where they can be locked into place via a set screw. By loosing this set screw, the switch holder can be adjusted to any
position along the tube.


Coupling between driving unit and motor
A connection between motor and driving unit with flange a coupling is needed.
In this case there are different couplings available which can be chosen according to demand.


Electric SERVO motor

On request MEDAN offers for the driving unit ELZ either the neccessary SERVO- or STEP motors with or without control drive.

  • Servomotors are high dynamic driving units with controlled operation. Their significance is a high moment of rotation over the complete speed range.
  • Stepmotors have a high starting moment of rotation with very low angular velocity respectively on individual stages, a high stop moment and a high step resolution.
    Simple programming and economical initial costs make this motor version attractive.

Electric STEPPER motor

STEPPER motors offer the following benefits:

  • High starting torque at low rotational speed and between each step
  • High blocking torque
  • High accuracy between each revolutionFurther informations on request.
  • Simple programming procedures and competitive prices enables the Stepper motor to be considered as a serious alternative to Servo motors.
